Privacy Policy
Last reviewed on 30 April 2026.
This policy explains what information claculator.com (the "site", "we", "our") collects when you visit, how that information is used, and what choices you have. The site is operated as a free, browser-based scientific calculator. This policy applies to the site only and does not cover third-party pages you may reach through external links.
What you type stays in your browser
Calculations are evaluated locally in your browser using JavaScript. The expressions you enter, the results you see, and your history list are not transmitted to our servers. They live in the page while it is open and are discarded when you close the tab.
Information we collect automatically
When you load a page, our hosting provider and analytics tools may receive standard technical information that any web browser sends with a request. This typically includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address, which may be approximate or truncated by analytics
- Browser type, version, and language
- Operating system and device category (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Referring URL, the page you viewed, and the time of the request
- Screen size and basic interaction events such as page views
This data is used to understand traffic, diagnose problems, and improve the site. It is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. The site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: measuring traffic, and serving advertising. A full list of cookie categories and how to opt out is available on the cookies page.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages are popular, and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics may set cookies and may receive your IP address. We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual users. You can learn more in Google's policy on how it uses data from partner sites.
Advertising — Google AdSense and third-party vendors
The site displays advertising provided by Google AdSense and may include ads from approved third-party ad networks.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Users may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or, in the EU and UK, YourOnlineChoices.
For more on how Google handles advertising data, see Google's advertising policy.
Legal bases (for visitors in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions)
Where the General Data Protection Regulation or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests for measuring traffic, diagnosing technical problems, and protecting the site against abuse, where this does not override your rights.
- Consent for advertising cookies and personalised advertising where consent is required. Where a consent banner is shown, you may withdraw consent at any time by changing your browser cookie settings or visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Compliance with legal obligations when responding to lawful requests or preserving information required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain types of processing. Residents of California (under the CCPA) have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by California law. claculator.com does not sell personal information for money. Where personalised advertising is treated as "sharing" under California law, you can opt out using the controls described above and through your browser's Global Privacy Control signal where supported.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Data retention
Analytics records are retained for the period configured in Google Analytics, typically up to fourteen months, and are not used to build user profiles. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up. Server log files used for security and abuse prevention are kept for a short period and then discarded or aggregated.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of thirteen. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the contact email, write to [email protected] and the message will be deleted.
International transfers
The site is delivered through global content networks. By using the site, you understand that your request may be served from a location outside your country and that information described above may be processed in countries with different data protection rules.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected by updating that date and, where appropriate, a notice on the site.
